I think there's an oft-used parable, "It felt as if the sun had come out after a long spell of hiding behind clouds." I'd like to know how to describe this feeling when I haven't seen the sun in days and now it's suddenly sunny. Light! I'm really happy.

My eyes keep widening with delight when I suddenly realise that it's completely possible for me, right now, to eat a carrot. I think it's some kind of a sickness.
